Promptise (promptise.com) is a public, read-only website operated by Manser Ventures. It provides free educational content — guides, learning paths, the Promptise Blueprint, and Foundry framework documentation.
There are no user accounts, no logins, no purchases, and no forms on this website. We collect as little data as possible. This policy explains what minimal data is processed, why, and by whom.

2. What Data We Process
Server & access logs (automatic)
When you visit the site, Vercel (our hosting provider) automatically records your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This is standard for any web server. We do not access or analyse these logs ourselves beyond what Vercel provides in aggregate form.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — website security and performance.
Anonymised analytics (automatic)
We use Vercel Web Analytics in privacy-first mode. It collects only aggregated, anonymised data — no cookies, no personal identifiers, no cross-site tracking.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). No consent required.
Content delivery (automatic)
All guides and learning paths are served from Contentful, our CMS. When a page loads, your browser makes API requests to Contentful. Contentful may process your IP address transiently as part of delivering content. No personal data is stored in Contentful.

Email contact (only if you write to us)
If you email us at hello@promptise.com, we receive your email address and message. We use this only to respond to you and retain it no longer than 2 years.

3. Subprocessors
We use exactly two subprocessors. Both are bound by data processing agreements (DPAs).
Vercel Inc. — Hosting & Analytics
Data: server logs, anonymised analytics · Location: US (EU-US DPF + SCCs)
Contentful GmbH — Content Management
Data: transient IP addresses during content delivery · Location: US (EU-US DPF + SCCs, EU-headquartered company)

4. Cookies & Local Storage
We do not use any advertising, marketing, or tracking cookies. The only data stored in your browser is:
- cookieConsent — stores your cookie preference choice
- privacyAccepted — remembers you acknowledged the privacy notice
- theme — remembers your dark/light mode preference
These are stored in browser Local Storage, never transmitted to our servers, and can be cleared at any time in your browser settings. All content remains fully accessible without them.

5. Data Retention
Server logs: Managed by Vercel according to their retention schedules (typically 1–90 days).
Anonymised analytics: Aggregated data retained indefinitely (no personal identifiers).
Support emails: Retained for up to 2 years, then deleted.
6. Your Rights (GDPR & Swiss FADP)
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to processing. Because we collect so little data, the practical scope of these rights is limited mostly to any email correspondence you have sent us.
To exercise any right, email hello@promptise.com. We will respond within 30 days.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) at edoeb.admin.ch or with your local EU data protection authority.
7. International Data Transfers
Both Vercel and Contentful are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (2021 SCCs). For Swiss transfers, we rely on the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework and SCCs adapted for Swiss law.
8. Changes to This Policy
We will update the "Last Updated" date when this policy changes. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
